What’s the best part about working at CollegeReady?

The best part about working at CollegeReady is the students and their parents! Throughout their time in the program, our students learn the tools they will need for post-secondary success, and we have the opportunity to help their parents gain the knowledge and skills to support their child. The relationships and collaboration between our staff, community partners, parents, and students is AWESOME!

How did your education or previous life experiences prepare you for your role here?

I graduated in 2021 with an Associate Degree of Arts and Science from UW-Green Bay and I am currently finishing my Bachelors of Arts in Organizational Leadership. I previously worked for the Green Bay Area Public School District, most recently in a Bilingual Administrative role. From my time with GBAPS, I have gained so much knowledge about the District, and I am excited to assist our NEW Scholars families and introduce them to the school and community resources that are available to them.

What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekend?

I really enjoy spending time with family and friends, going on trips, and eating delicious food!

Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter? Why?

Summer and fall are my two favorite seasons! I really like the hot, non-humid summer days; going to Whitefish Dunes State Park, grilling out with family, and Six Flags are some of the things I like best about summer.

As for fall, I like the sweater weather, going apple and pumpkin picking, and eating caramel apples and apple crisp.
