Thank you for your interest in the "Lamp of Knowledge Celebration"!

The Lamp of Knowledge Celebration is CollegeReady’s annual scholarship awards celebration. This year, the event includes a very special keynote speaker – entrepreneur, community leader, equal rights advocate,  and former CollegeReady scholarship recipient, Tara Yang!

On July 14, 2022 at the Meyer Theatre in Green Bay, the organization will award scholarships to its Class of 2022 scholarship recipients, and introduce the latest group of students to join the NEW Scholars program, the Class of 2029.

The event will also highlight the Class of 2022 graduating NEW Scholars, who have worked hard to pursue their goal of being first in their family to earn a college degree. Many of these students have been participating in NEW Scholars since the 6th grade!

NEW Scholars Take Center Stage!” is a recognition event held to celebrate the accomplishments of the participants in our NEW Scholars college readiness program.

This year’s event, held on June 21, 2022 at the Meyer Theatre in Green Bay, features a presentation of awards for 170+ students, and personal reflections from three student leaders.

The spotlight also shines on our Class of 2022 graduating seniors, many of whom have been in the program since the sixth grade and are now celebrating the next step toward their goal of becoming the first person in their family to graduate from high school and earn a postsecondary degree.

Our Programs

Scholarships

Each year, CollegeReady provides over $450,000 in college scholarships to hundreds of students in Northeast Wisconsin. We are proud to have awarded more than $12 million in scholarships over the past 60 years.

College Readiness

CollegeReady's NEW Scholars college readiness program is an afterschool program available to Green Bay middle and high school students who will be the first in their family to earn a college degree.
Through academic support, college prep, parent workshops, service learning, and so much more, NEW Scholars breaks down barriers to higher education that exist for many low-income and first-generation students. Fundamental components of the program include reading, writing, character development, and parent engagement.
Participating students earn up to a $5,000 scholarship to the college/university of their choice.
NEW Scholars is pronounced "new" (not "n.e.w.")
