Thank you for your interest in "CollegeReady Takes Center Stage!"

Each year at this very special event, we recognize the hard work and dedication of our college readiness program participants. Among friends and family, these students – who will be the first in their family to pursue a college degree – receive the award they’ve worked hard to earn in our program over the past school year.

Full of meaning and special moments, the evening features special guest speakers – including local college/university leadership and two of our program participants – and a ceremony highlighting our seniors as they sign their college letter of intent. Dressed in their graduation caps and gowns, these deserving students proudly take their next step into the bright futures they’ve been pursuing since middle school.

This year’s event was held at UW-Green Bay’s Weidner Center on Weds. May 21.

Our Programs

Scholarships

Each year, CollegeReady provides about $500,000 in college scholarships to hundreds of students in Northeast Wisconsin. We are proud to have awarded over $13.9 million in scholarships over the past 63 years.

In 2024, CollegeReady awarded more than $471,000 in scholarships to deserving college-bound students.

College Readiness

CollegeReady’s college readiness program is an after-school program for underrepresented Green Bay middle and high school students who will be the first in their family to earn a college degree.

Through academic support, college prep, parent workshops, service learning, and so much more, CollegeReady breaks down barriers to higher education that exist for many low-income and first-generation students. Fundamental components of the program include reading, writing, character development, and parent engagement.

Participating students earn up to a $5,000 scholarship to the college/university of their choice.

This program was previously known as the NEW Scholars program (rebranded in January 2025).
